With it being Buck's famous heat treated 420HC steel, it will be easy to re-sharpen after use. It has a gorgeous satin finish with a hollow grind and slight upper swedge to reinforce the tip. This blade shape is not only excellent for skinning game, but also great for just about any slicing and piercing chores. There is a handy forward choil just past the guard for choking up on detailed skinning or cutting tasks. Quite impressive blade shape for the Kalinga.
